About

Real talk. It’s time to check in.

The What

A joint collaboration between Duke Health, Kompleks Creative and Black Wall Street, VibeCheck is a platform for Black young adults to check in with one another and discuss their experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each episode features honest conversations with leaders in the Black Gen Z community and subject matter experts from Duke Health about the coronavirus, lockdowns, vaccines and the impact of these challenges on mental health.

The Why

It’s time to face the facts. The last two years have been emotionally, mentally and physically draining for everyone. We need to check in. VibeCheck empowers Black young adults to speak up on the fears, desires, hopes and hesitations they have experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. We hope that by seeing community leaders having these conversations, others will be encouraged to do the same.
